Extended Day Program

   

Days of Operation:                   M-F, when school is in session

Hours of Operation:                  7:00-8:45 AM and 3:25-6:00 PM

Dates of Operation:                  When K-8 classes are in session         

All students are to be under direct supervision when on campus.  This includes while students are awaiting the start of extracurricular or co-curricular activities scheduled before or after school, rides home, or admission to school to start the day.  This ensures student safety. Students not picked up within 10 minutes of the scheduled end of an after school activity will also be sent to ECP and billed accordingly.  In some cases, at the discretion of the ECP Director and/or School Administration, the fee for this service may be dropped.

Fees:  $30 Registration Fee per student will be billed to each family who chooses to have their children enrolled.  This fee pays for administrative overhead and student-centered materials for the program.  Hourly fees thereafter are $1.50/half-hour/student, billed on the ½ hour for any portion of a ½ hour.  Financial consideration for families having over 3 students may be given at the discretion of the school principal in cooperation with the Extended Care Program Director.

 

Should a student be picked up after the “grace period” of 10 minutes after dismissal, that student will be taken to the afternoon ECP where s/he will await parent pick up.  The family will then be assessed a registration fee in addition to any fees associated with the child’s stay in the program.  This is to help avoid having children in an unsupervised setting.  Tacit supervision by the RRLS office staff is not appropriate student supervision.

 

Location(s):  The ECP will be primarily housed in room 102 (off the commons area near the main school entrance), the playground area, CAC, and Commons spaces will also be used as needed and available.  Shared CAC space will be needed even during the busy athletic seasons.  These arrangements will be made as needed.
